The Void

   Lost in the void
   A vivid dream.
   Stuck in limbo,
   Between reality and perception.
Caught up in the rush, of perfect love imagined
A hazy life well lived ,well cherished,
Full of the joie de vivre.

   Falling through joyful numbing  darkness
Losing touch with the crumbling scene being played around me
   .
A life being watched not lived,
Always the audience and never the actor.
   Always thinking.
   Never doing.

Losing the grip of the the hands that held me up when I was weak
Trying to drag me from the void.
   Desperate faces begging for hope
Yet carelessly I continue to fall.
Gutting out the inner strength I have within me.
   Without Fear.
   Without Remorse.

For there is no need for strength in the void.
No pain nor sadness will infect me here.
   The dreams will numb me.
   For the inevitable thunderous bang.
